This fabulous one day course offers a practical introduction to Mindfulness that would be beneficial to complete beginners and those who have already tried meditation but want to know more.
There is growing evidence that mindfulness can help with a whole host of issues from stress, anxiety, depression, physical pain and addictions. It is proven to improve emotional and physical well-being.
This one day course offers a practical introduction and the materials to help you bring mindfulness meditation into your everyday life. Spend the day in a beautiful setting, learning from an expert in the field and come away with some powerful tools to help you lead a happier and healthier life.
About the Trainer:
We are INCREDIBLY lucky to have an expert trainer (and all round lovely human being) Shehzad Malik who is travelling to Sheffield from Cumbria to deliver the day
Shehzad is a Mindfulness Based Counsellor. He has a degree in Psychology and is a qualified Social Worker with 30 years of experience working with people.
He is an Associate Tutor at Leicester University and Lancaster University. He currently works as part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Service at Cumbria University.
He is a UKCP registered Psychotherapist, has a Diploma in Brief Strategic Therapy and has trained in NLP, EFT, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. He has a lifelong interest in Mindfulness and completed his MSc in Mindfulness Based Approaches at the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University in 2015.
